Job summary

SHIN KHAI CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional in Singapore to manage daily AP/AR and ensure timely invoicing and receipts. You will process supplier and subcontractor invoices, prepare payment schedules and support reconciliations.

The role covers month-end close, project-related expense tracking, GST records, and audit documentation, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements within a construction accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or training in Accounting, Finance or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of AP/AR and basic accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day AP and AR transactions.
• Process supplier and subcontractor invoices and payment schedules.
• Prepare customer invoices, record receipts and monitor outstanding payments.
• Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing and accounting schedules.
• Support project-related expense tracking and subcontractor payments.
• Assist GST records, audit documentation and other accounting duties.

• Prepare customer invoices, record receipts and monitor outstanding payments.
• Perform bank, supplier and customer account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing and accounting schedules.
• Support project-related expense tracking and subcontractor payment documentation.
• Assist with GST records, audit documentation and other accounting duties.

Job Requirements

• Essential:
• Relevant qualification or training in Accounting, Finance or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and basic accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Preferred:
• Previous accounting experience in the Singapore construction industry.
• Familiarity with subcontractor payments, progress claims and project-related expenses.
• Experience using accounting software.
• Knowledge of Singapore GST documentation and month-end accounting procedures.
