Job summary

MODULAR TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee end-to-end accounting functions in Singapore. You will manage AR/AP/GL, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure timely financial reporting.

The role requires five years of accounting experience, a relevant degree, and strong collaboration with auditors and the project team. You will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance while maintaining internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in general accounting and/or cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts: AR, AP, GL.
• Handle daily accounting activities: data entry, invoice processing, filing, and payments.
• Monitor accuracy/timeliness of AP and AR functions.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, analyses, and schedules.
• Handle month-end closing and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare quarterly GST returns in compliance with regulations.
• Prepare budgets and quarterly forecasts with management.
• Coordinate with Project Team on progress claims and billing discrepancies.
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Job description

• Manage full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
• Handle daily accounting activities such as data entry, invoice processing, document filing, and payment or remittance arrangements.
• Monitor and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of AP and AR functions.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, analysis reports, and relevant schedules.
• Handle month-end closing processes and ensure prompt financial reporting.
• Prepare and file quarterly GST returns in compliance with regulations.
• Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in coordination with management.
• Handle progress claims and coordinate closely with the Project Team to ensure timely payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Prepare audit schedules and necessary documentation for annual audits and tax filings.
• Assist other departments with financial input during strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
