Job summary

JAC Recruitment Pte. Ltd. is seeking a meticulous Accounting Officer to join its Finance & Accounting team in Singapore.

The role covers day-to-day accounting, month-end and year-end closings, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Based at Shenton Way, the position offers a stable corporate environment and exposure to multiple accounting functions. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of accounting experience, a relevant diploma, and strong Excel/SAP skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Singapore accounting practices and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in AP, AR, GL, reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous, organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify accounting entries, claims and travel expenses.
• Process vendor invoices, payments and accruals with supporting docs.
• Prepare customer billings and revenue accruals after reviewing contracts.
• Maintain records for low-value assets such as IT and office equipment.
• Support monthly and year-end closing activities including journals and reconciliations.
• Review import/export docs and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and verify supporting records.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports and tax-related schedules.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting matters.
