Job summary

MTC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its established Singapore team. You will gain exposure to large-scale building and infrastructure projects, handling financial and management accounting, budgeting, and reporting for project finance and costs.

The role requires a degree in Accountancy or CPA/ACCA and at least 5 years of relevant experience. You will work closely with finance and project teams in a fast-paced environment at Redhill MRT.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or a professional qualification such as CPA/ACCA.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience across financial accounting and management accounting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for financial and management accounting functions.
• Timely management reporting for month end closing.
• Prepare yearly budgets, revised budgets and cashflow projections.
• Liaise with banks, external auditors and tax agents.
• Prepare annual financial reports in compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Prepare GST and tax computations.
• Perform financial analysis and monitor P&L and balance sheet fluctuations.
• Ensure internal controls comply with corporate governance requirements.
• Review, improve and implement streamlined work processes and internal controls.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and manage accounts staff.

Our client is an established A1 construction company, and you will gain valuable exposure to large-scale building and infrastructure projects. This role offers excellent opportunity to broaden your accounting expertise across project finance, cost management, financial reporting and operational accounting while working closely with experienced finance and project teams.

• Responsible for the financial and management accounting functions
• Timely management reporting for month end closing
• Preparation of yearly budget, revised budgets and cashflow
• Liase with banks, external auditors and tax agents
• Prepare annual financial reports in compliance with Finance Reporting Standards & XBRL submission
• Prepare GST and Tax computation
• Financial analysis; fluctuations in P&L and B/S
• To monitor internal controls are in compliance with all corporate governance requirement
• Constantly review, improve and implement streamlined work processes and internal controls
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• To manage accounts staff

Requirement

• Candidate must possess a Degree in Accountancy or other equivalent professional qualification ie. CPA, ACCA

• At least 5 years relevant working experience
