Job summary

Business Edge Personnel Services in Singapore is seeking a Finance Analyst to analyze financial data, ensure accounting standards compliance, support budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate across departments to drive accurate reporting.

You will review revenue recognition and controls, develop margin dashboards, support audits, and assist with ad-hoc analyses while working under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Accountancy or ACCA or equivalent is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and management reports to identify trends and variances for informed decision-making.

• Coordinate follow-up on warranty claims with relevant contacts.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc analyses to support strategic planning.
• Partner with business units to deliver timely financial information for decision support.
• Review and perform SOX testing to evaluate internal controls and support audits.
• Support external and internal audits with required documentation and analysis.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure timely accounting and reporting.

Job Summary

You will analyze financial data, ensure compliance with accounting standards, support budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate across departments to drive accurate reporting and effective decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and management reports to identify significant trends and variances for informed decision-making
• Ensure compliance with revenue accounting standards, including revenue recognition and Bill & Hold processes
• Develop and maintain margin dashboards analyzing shop performance by work scope and customer segments
• Coordinate timely follow-up on warranty claims by liaising with relevant contacts
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic planning
• Partner with business units to deliver timely and accurate financial information for decision support
• Review and perform SOX testing to evaluate internal control effectiveness and support audit processes
• Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and analysis
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting
• Participate actively in finance and continuous improvement projects as needed
• Assist with additional accounting activities as assigned by supervisors

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor of Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
• CPA certification or intention to pursue CPA
• Proficient in MS Office applications with strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards is advantageous
• Experience with Hyperion reporting system and SAP is a plus
• Relevant audit experience is beneficial
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills to engage with all organizational levels
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
• Positive team player attitude with willingness to contribute to projects
