Job summary

Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an Accountant to manage the financial aspects of a Bunker Barge fleet. You will oversee accounts, depreciation, mortgages, and collaborate with the Shipping team and the purchase center to provide essential financial support.

The role reports to the CFO and requires 3+ years of accounting experience, with CPA preferred and strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting.

Position Overview:

As an Accountant at Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our Bunker Barge fleet. This includes overseeing accounts, handling depreciation and mortgages, and collaborating closely with the Shipping team and the purchase center to provide essential financial support.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Oversee and manage the accounts related to our Bunker Barge fleet.
• Handle depreciation and mortgage calculations to ensure accurate financial reporting for each barge.

Collaboration with Shipping Team:

• Work closely with the Shipping team to understand and address financial needs.
• Provide financial insights and support for operational decision-making.

Purchase Center Support:

• Collaborate with the purchase center to streamline financial processes.
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions related to procurement.

Reporting:

• Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights to the management team.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Communication:

• Maintain effective communication with internal teams and in particular
• Act as a liaison between the finance department and other departments within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the maritime or shipping industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Reporting Structure:

The selected candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
