Job summary

UIB Singapore Management Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated Accountant to support the Finance function, focusing on Japan operations and Group/REIT reporting. You will collaborate with internal teams and external providers to ensure timely financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and robust financial management.

Key duties include reviewing Japan entity statements, budgeting, forecasts, tax computations, and annual audits while leveraging Yardi and ERP systems to optimise processes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA or CPA is preferred.
• Experience in group consolidation and preparation/review of financial statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; Yardi experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financial statements for Japan entities including GAAP adjustments.
• Prepare and analyse monthly P&L against budget for Japan and Singapore.
• Prepare quarterly rolling forecasts for Japan.
• Assist with tax computations for Japan.
• Coordinate annual audit and finalisation of financial statements for Japan and Singapore.
• Support FATCA/CRS filings for Japan.
• Liaise with external service providers and stakeholders on accounting matters.
• Assist in enhancement of Yardi and other finance systems for Japan.
• Perform monthly Group/REIT consolidation and DPU computation.
• Prepare quarterly MAS regulatory reports and other submissions.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to support the Finance function in managing the accounting and financial reporting activities of the Group, with a focus on the Japan operations and Group/REIT reporting. The role will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and effective financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Review monthly financial statements prepared by outsourced service providers for the Japan entities, including GAAP adjustments.

• Prepare and analyse monthly P&L against budget for Japan and Singapore operations.

• Prepare quarterly rolling forecasts for the Japan operations.

• Support the preparation and finalisation of tax computations for Japan.

• Coordinate annual audit and finalisation of financial statements for Japan and Singapore.

• Support annual FATCA/CRS filing requirements for Japan.

• Manage and liaise with external service providers and stakeholders on accounting and finance matters, including CITCO, Yardi and UIJ.

• Support the enhancement and optimisation of Yardi and other finance systems for the Japan operations.

• Perform monthly Group/REIT consolidation and DPU computation.

• Prepare quarterly MAS regulatory reports and other required regulatory submissions.

About you

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA or CPA is preferred.

• 3-5 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.

• Experience in group consolidation and preparation/review of financial statements.

• Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

• Experience in a listed company, REIT, real estate or fund management environment is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with MAS and SGX reporting requirements would be an advantage.

• Experience working with external auditors, tax advisors and outsourced service providers.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems. Experience with Yardi is an advantage.
