Job summary

MICRO TECH CNC ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting including AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting. The role requires accuracy, compliance, and a proactive approach in a hybrid work environment in Singapore.

You will handle statutory filings and contribute to budgeting and cash flow management, working with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed. A diploma/degree in accounting plus 2+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accountancy or related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Proficient in Xero accounting software.
• Familiar with Singapore payroll, CPF, GST, and IRAS requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Xero.
• Handle AP/AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory filings (CPF, GST, IRAS).
• Maintain accounting records and supporting documents.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Respond to auditors and regulatory bodies as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Xero
• Handle AP/AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure timely submission of statutory filings (CPF, GST, IRAS etc.)
• Maintain accounting records and supporting documents
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Respond to auditors and other external regulatory bodies as required

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or a relevant field
• 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Familiarity with Singapore payroll, CPF, GST, and IRAS requirements
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Prior experience in SME environment
• Knowledge of other accounting platforms a plus (e.g. QuickBooks, MYOB)
• Experience with Singapore statutory filings
