Job summary

Mentor Supply Chain Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced finance professional to manage period-end activities, prepare journals, and maintain the fixed assets register, coordinating with Site Operations on finance and control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• ACCA certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, FA.
• Prepare quarterly forecasts, including annual budgets and performance indicators.
• Ensure prompt and accurate statutory and management reporting, including monthly GST filings.
• Maintain PPE schedule timely for month end closing.
• Prepare and review audit schedules for internal and external audits.
• Validate and manage GL postings.
• Monitor cash flow and treasury matters for the company.
• Lead and supervise the accounting team.
• Involve in training and development planning for staff growth.
• Coordinate with auditors for financial and internal audits and meet deadlines.
• Engage with tax agents for annual tax filing and deadlines.
• Lead finance-related system initiatives (e.g., RPA, staff claims).
• Support Site Operations for finance-related matters on projects.
• Suggest processes for productivity and efficiency.
• Oversee annual stock takes.
• Assist corporate group reporting and corporate secretary tasks.

Job Summary

Manage period-end activities and full management accounts, working with Site Operations on finance and control. Analyse accounts, prepare journal entries, and maintain the fixed assets register. Collaborate effectively with Accounting and Site Operations teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily accounting functions of the department including AP, AR, GL, FA.

• Prepare quarterly forecast, including annual budgets and performance indicators.

• Ensure prompt and accurate statutory and management reporting, inclusive of monthly GST filing.

• Maintain accurate PPE schedule timely for month end closing.

• Prepare/review audit schedules for internal and external audit purposes.

• Validate and manage GL postings.

• Monitor the cash flow and handle the treasury matters for the company.

• Lead and supervise the accounting team.

• Involve in training and plan for development and growth for the staff.

• Liaise with auditors for financial and internal audits and meet audit deadlines.

• Coordinate with and support tax agents for annual tax filing and meet tax filing deadlines.

• Lead in finance-related system (eg RPA, Staff claims) and represent finance for organisation-wide system, where applicable.

• Support Site Operation for existing and new projects for all finance-related matters.

• Suggest and recommend processes for productivity and efficiency.

• Oversee and manage yearly stock take.

• Assist corporate finance group reporting and corporate secretary documents

• Undertake any other reasonable duties / projects which may be required from time to time.

Competencies

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting.

• ACCA certified will be added advantage.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.

• Good knowledge of corporate law, business insurance matters, Gen AI will be added advantage.

• Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.

• Good knowledge of FRS as well current accounting rules and principles.
