Job summary

SINOPEC LUBRICANT (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee accounts payable/receivable, accounting records, and financial reporting.

The role will support GST compliance, statutory reporting, and internal/external audits while coordinating with multiple departments. Ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, 5–10 years of relevant experience, CPA designation, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in tax, accounting, or finance.
  • CPA certification.
  • 5–10 years of experience in accounting/finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, billing, payment preparation and collection follow-up.
  • Verify invoices and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue balances.
  • Perform monthly bank, vendor and customer account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper recording of transactions.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other adjustments.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, schedules and management reports.
  • Assist with GST, tax-related matters and statutory reporting.
  • Prepare supporting documents for audits.

Job description

About the role

This role encompasses accounts payable and receivable management, accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis, tax and compliance support, and finance operations. You will manage daily accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, assist with statutory reporting and audits, and support finance-related projects.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, billing, payment preparation and collection follow-up

  • Verify invoices and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures

  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue balances

  • Perform monthly bank, vendor and customer account reconciliations

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system

  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments as required

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities

  • Prepare regular financial reports, schedules and management reports

  • Assist with GST, tax-related matters and other statutory reporting requirements

  • Prepare supporting documents and schedules for internal and external audits

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in tax, accounting, or finance

  • CPA

  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in accounting/finance

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliation processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting or ERP systems

  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good organisational and time-management skills

  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with different departments

  • Knowledge of Singapore GST and cross-border taxation, as well as audit support, will be an advantage

  • Experience with accounting operations in a manufacturing or multinational environment will be an advantage
