Job summary

COMMONWEALTH FREIGHT SERVICES PTE LTD in Singapore is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage the full set of accounts and prepare financial statements. You will ensure compliance with Singapore financial regulations and support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.

The ideal candidate has an ACCA or degree in accounting, relevant experience, and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and experience with Autocount will be an advantage.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger and financial records.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports and sustainability-related reports where required.
• Perform AP and AR functions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to facilitate business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Support external and internal audits, as well as corporate tax and GST preparation, computation, and submission.
• Monitor intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and settlements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support business operations and strategic finance initiatives.
• Maintain effective internal controls and support risk management initiatives.
• Lead asset and inventory stock counts and ensure the accuracy of records.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes.

Requirements

• ACCA or Degree in Accounting or equivalent recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Relevant experience in a full Accountant role with responsibilities in general ledger, financial reporting and month-end/year-end closing.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore financial regulations, tax, GST, and audit process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Autocount will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous, responsible and able to work independently.
