Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking an Underwriter for its Accident & Health (A&H) team. Fresh graduates with a keen interest in insurance underwriting are welcome to apply, with opportunities to manage intermediaries and grow the portfolio.

The role focuses on underwriting A&H business, building broker and client relationships, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high service standards. MAS certifications may be pursued as part of development to support long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates with a strong interest in insurance underwriting.
• Relevant qualifications in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Willingness to obtain MAS certifications and qualifications for advising on insurance matters.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new A&H business per guidelines and objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, financial advisory firms, brokers, and insured clients.
• Provide underwriting advice and policy servicing on A&H matters.
• Review renewals and assess risk and claims experience.
• Monitor portfolio performance to support profitability and growth.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver service standards.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by management.
