Job summary

Qualifications

• Underwriting principles and risk assessment knowledge advantageous.
• MAS-required certifications and qualifications for advising on insurance matters are a plus.
• Fresh graduates with strong interest in insurance underwriting encouraged to apply.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills required.
• Self-motivated team player with organisational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new Accident & Health (A&H) insurance business per guidelines and company objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, brokers, and insured clients.
• Provide underwriting advice, policy servicing, and support on A&H matters.
• Review renewal policies with analysis of claims experience and risk performance.
• Monitor portfolio performance to achieve profitability and growth targets.
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate.
• Collaborate with underwriting colleagues and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions.
