Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking an ophthalmic assistant for a temporary assignment at Outram Park. You will support ophthalmologists by conducting diagnostic tests and preparing patients for investigations, ensuring accurate test procedures and quality records.

The role runs from September 2026 to February 2027 with a 5.25-day work week (alternate Saturdays) and on-site requirements in Singapore. Diploma holders in Biomedical Science or related fields who can start on short notice are invited

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Biomedical Science, Biomedical Technology, Biological Science, or any discipline.
• Able to commit fully and start work on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist ophthalmologists in the diagnosis of eye conditions by performing ophthalmic investigation tests.
• Perform basic ophthalmic diagnostic procedures for various subspecialty clinics (e.g. glaucoma screening).
• Prepare patients for investigations and ensure accurate test procedures.
• Perform administrative duties, including updating patients' records and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Achieve competency in assigned ophthalmic investigations through structured on-the-job training.
• Carry out other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Working Hours:

• 5.25-day work week (Alternate Saturdays)
• Week 1: 44 hours
• Week 2: 40 hours
