Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Senior Finance Executive/Accountant to lead a team in day-to-day financial matters, including month-end and year-end closing, and to prepare and review audit schedules and financial reporting packages.

The ideal candidate will hold a Degree in Accountancy or ACCA, with at least 3 years of relevant experience (1 year in supervision). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP experience are preferred, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience with 1 year in supervision.
• Higher qualified candidates may be considered for Senior Finance Executive/Accountant.
• IT savvy: proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Hands-on experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Prior audit experience is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Meticulous, motivated, and resourceful with independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team in daily financial matters and month-/year-end closings.
• Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly and year-end audit schedules and financial reports.
• Ensure high quality balance sheet.
• Review internal charge and reclassification requests.
• Review bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Review miscellaneous receipts and follow up on unaccounted sums.
• Investigate and resolve user queries.
• Responsible for GST and other statistical submissions.
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents on audits and GST matters.
• Coordinate with Grants and Intercompany GL teams to resolve issues.
• Lead and participate in process improvement projects.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as needed.

• Responsible for the good quality of the balance sheet
• Review internal charge and reclassification requests
• Review bank reconciliation and resolve reconciling items
• Review miscellaneous receipts and follow up on unaccounted sums
• Investigate and resolve user’s queries
• Responsible for GST and other statistical submissions
• Liaise with internal and external auditors on audit matters
• Liaise with tax agent on corporate tax and GST matters

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience, with 1-year experience in a supervisory position
• Higher qualified/experienced candidates will be considered for the Senior Finance Executive/Accountant position
• IT savvy - proficient in Microsoft Office such as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Hands-on experience with SAP system will be an advantage
