Job summary
TALENT RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. in Singapore invites an experienced NPI Engineer (Precision Machining) to translate customer drawings into scalable manufacturing processes and ensure production readiness.
You will lead DFMs, PFMEA, first article builds, and coordinate with Production, Quality, and Procurement to drive smart cost reductions while adhering to ISO 9001/AS9100.
This on-site role offers a 5-day work week, competitive salary, and benefits in a dynamic precision machining environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in NPI or Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in precision machining.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks, SolidCAM, MasterCAM, UG).
- Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes.
- Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer drawings and technical requirements into manufacturing processes.
- Develop processes, including flow, work instructions, tooling, and inspection plans.
- Conduct DFM reviews to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost.
- Lead PFMEA to identify and mitigate process risks.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Procurement for successful production launch.
- Lead first article builds and process validation prior to mass production.
- Identify and resolve manufacturability issues during NPI stage.
- Ensure BOMs, routers, and documentation meet QMS.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and cost.
- Coordinate with suppliers on tooling and material readiness.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100.
