Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Diploma-qualified lab technician to assist engineers in planning and executing experiments for 2D materials development, including ALD/CVD processes.

You will perform material characterization and support daily lab operations while ensuring strict safety and compliance standards. The role involves data collection, documentation, and collaboration on process optimization and tool readiness.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a relevant field.
• ≥1-year hands-on thin film deposition experience (ALD, CVD or thermal processing).
• Exposure to 2D materials such as WS2, WSe2, MoS2 or related TMDs is desirable.
• Familiarity with characterization techniques (SEM, EDX, Raman, ellipsometry) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of chemical safety, gas handling, and cleanroom/lab protocols.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute experiments in ALD/CVD and related process development, including data collection and reporting.
• Characterize materials using SEM, EDX, Raman, PL, and ellipsometry to evaluate film quality and uniformity.
• Prepare substrates, precursors, and consumables; support day-to-day operation of process tools and lab equipment.
• Document run logs, SOPs, and summaries for technical reviews and presentations.
• Adhere to EHS protocols and safe handling of chemicals and gases, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to process optimization, tool readiness, and continuous improvement in 2D materials development.
