Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd is seeking a production support professional to manage OPEN Systems/AS4000 and related payment systems. The role requires hands-on experience, ability to write AS400 and SQL queries, and to parse logs for incident investigation.

You will perform UNIX shell scripting, operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure banking environment, and provide reliable support across UNIX/Open, AS/400 and mainframe platforms. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production support experience in OPEN Systems/AS4000 or similar platforms.
• Proficient in writing AS400 and SQL queries, and parsing logs for issue investigation.
• Experience with shell scripting (UNIX) and incident investigation.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• 2+ years’ production support experience in banking/financial vendors across multiple technologies.
• Willingness to work across UNIX/open, AS/400 and mainframe environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on production support for OPEN Systems/AS4000 and related payment or customer information systems.
• Work in onsite 24x7 shift-support model to ensure service availability.
• Write and optimize AS400 and SQL queries; parse logs to investigate incidents.
• Develop shell scripts (UNIX) to automate tasks and improve incident response.
• Communicate effectively with users and stakeholders; adapt to evolving technologies and environments.
• Collaborate across platforms – UNIX/Open, AS/400 and mainframe – to resolve issues quickly.
