Job summary

Saksoft Pte Ltd is seeking a Production Support Engineer to provide end-to-end support for banking applications and the underlying technology stack. The role involves hands-on investigation of payments, logins, transactions, core banking, and card-processing issues within a 24x7 SLA-driven environment.

The candidate will also handle infrastructure maintenance, monitoring, automation, and service recovery, coordinating with various teams to ensure high availability and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Banking or financial-services experience is mandatory, with a minimum of 5 years in banking application support, infrastructure operations, production support, or related areas.
• Proven experience supporting 24x7 mission-critical banking systems in an SLA-driven environment, including handling customer-impacting incidents.
• Hands-on experience investigating payment, login, authentication, transactions, core banking, cash-management, and card-processing issues.
• Strong capability in end-to-end transaction tracing, log analysis, SQL investigation, data validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis without compromising production-data integrity.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IBM AIX, Windows Server, AS/400, and/or mainframe systems with hands-on expertise across platforms.
• Experience with Splunk, Geneos, Control-M, SQL monitoring, and enterprise/infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience with networking, OS/storage patching, server deployment, VMware or other virtualization, HC/DR arrangements.
• Automation or scripting experience using Ansible, UNIX/Linux shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, SQL, or similar.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate customer-reported payment failures, login/authentication issues, and transaction-related problems.
• Support incidents affecting core banking, cash management, cards, and related services.
• Perform end-to-end transaction tracing across applications, databases, APIs, and middleware.
• Coordinate maintenance, deployments, service restoration, and disaster-recovery exercises.
• Perform network/OS/storage patching, server deployment, and virtualization tasks as part of maintenance.
