Job summary

CPF Board offers a full-time internship from January 2027 to June 2027 within the AI Enablement Office. You will join the Frontier Products Team to work on GenAI-driven software on cloud-native platforms, collaborating with designers and product managers.

We value problem-solving, clear communication, and independent initiative, with hands-on exposure to AWS/Azure and end-to-end GenAI development across cross-functional teams at TeamCPF.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Has some experience or a keen interest in cloud solutions and GenAI, with basic development knowledge in Java or Python; familiarity with large language models, prompt engineering, evaluation, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is a plus.
• Interested in developing problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting technical issues, including investigating model outputs and system behaviour.
• Communicates clearly, both in speaking and writing, and is able to explain technical ideas in a simple way, including GenAI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Works well independently and with others, takes initiative without needing constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Contribute technical skills to products and initiatives that aim to improve CPF Board and government work, including GenAI value.
• Explore GenAI field and prototype standalone products or build end-to-end GenAI platform stack.
• Work in a cross-disciplinary team with UI/UX designers and Product Managers to ship usable, safe, and measurable features.
• Gain hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud services commonly used to build and deploy AI-enabled systems.

What you will be working on

Under the AI Enablement Office, the Frontier Products Team is a modern team focused on developing software products that aim to make CPF Board and the Government as a whole work better. We work entirely on the cloud using cloud-native technologies.

• Contribute your technical skills to one of our many products and initiatives that aim to make CPF Board and whole-of-government work better, including opportunities where GenAI can add real user value.
• Explore the field of GenAI, and help prototype standalone products or build our end-to-end GenAI platform stack to enable other GenAI development teams to build products that improve the way we work.
• Work in a cross-disciplinary team with UI/UX designers and Product Managers to ship usable, safe, and measurable features.
• Gain hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, including cloud services commonly used to build and deploy AI-enabled systems.
