Job summary

MAXHUNT RESOURCE PTE. LTD. is seeking a lab and garden support person to assist in daily operations of science laboratories, gardens, and hydroponics/aquaponics systems at CHIJ (Katong) Primary. You will set up and maintain labs, prepare teaching materials, and support events.

Applicants should have 2+ years in a school setting and be proficient with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint, plus practical gardening skills and science equipment operation. Contract role for 2027 with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to operate science-related electronic devices including hydroponics and aquaponics equipment.
• Practical gardening skills including weeding, planting and watering.
• More than two years of relevant experience in a similar role and in a school environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of Science laboratories, gardens, aquaponics and hydroponics systems, and the pond.
• Set up, clean and maintain the laboratories and Science areas, and keep the Recycling Corner clean.
• Prepare laboratory apparatus, equipment and teaching materials for scheduled activities.
• Assist with stocktaking and equipment maintenance.
• Type worksheets and notes.
• Support departmental events, activities and programmes, and perform other duties assigned by the school.

Name of Authority: CHIJ (Katong) Primary

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.

Option period: 1 January 2028 to 31 December 2028.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mon‑days to Thurs‑days: 7:00am to 1:30pm, inclusive of a 30‑minute lunch break.
• Fri‑days: 7:00am to 3:30pm, inclusive of a 30‑minute lunch break.

Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

Requirements:
