Job summary

Embedl seeks an experienced Head of Engineering to lead ~20 engineers across Software, Deep Learning, and Infrastructure. You will own the engineering system from idea to customer delivery, coach technical leads, and shape the company’s technical strategy. You report to the CEO and participate in the management team.

You will manage hiring, performance, promotion decisions, and growth of the technical leads while balancing speed with rigor in a safety-critical, high-growth setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or ML engineering with leadership experience.
• Proven track record developing engineers into senior or management roles.
• Hands-on experience applying AI assistants in an engineering org.
• Experience owning roadmaps and architecture trade-offs.
• Experience building or scaling engineering processes and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Develop every engineer; coach across four disciplines and manage ladders, salaries, and promotions.
• Keep shipping predictable with small, frequent batches and appropriate process.
• Own technical risk and ensure compliance is integrated into daily work.
• Hold the roadmap together by co-owning sequencing with leads and balancing cost and risk.
• Bridge customer/market input to roadmap priorities with Product and Finance.
