Job summary

Juni is seeking a VP Credit & Risk Operations to own the credit strategy and lead the evolution of the credit organization. You will balance risk with commercial ambition, while overseeing onboarding, KYC/FinCrime, and regulatory reporting in a scalable fintech banking environment.

You will report to the CEO and bridge operational credit work with bank compliance and the Board, driving data-driven decisioning and continuous improvement in risk models.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in senior credit leadership within a bank or credit institution.
• Extensive hands-on corporate credit underwriting in SME environments with large ticket sizes (5M+ SEK).
• Operational mindset: able to perform investigations and SAR/STR reporting.
• Deep understanding of modern banking compliance and IFRS 9 practices.
• Strong knowledge of KYC, AML, and transaction monitoring in digital banking.
• Experience in a high-growth fintech or tech environment.
• Fluent Swedish and English; able to communicate complex topics to regulators and teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve credit decisioning and management processes end-to-end with data-driven frameworks.
• Lead KYC and Financial Crime agenda, ensuring scalable, compliant processes.
• Grow and scale credit, FinCrime, and onboarding teams with high performance culture.
• Chair Credit Committee and oversee IFRS 9 provisioning discussions with the Board.
• Ensure bank-level regulatory reporting to authorities and SAR/STR handling.
• Drive process automation and model improvements for PD scoring and risk models.
• Partner with sales/product to balance risk appetite with business opportunities.
