Job summary

Astek Sweden is looking for a Software Tester to join a team focused on Complete Vehicle Integration Testing, supporting verification and validation of embedded electrical systems through SIL and HIL testing. You will contribute to the full testing lifecycle and work with engineers to ensure high quality and safety across projects.

The role requires a strong technical background, a passion for quality, and an analytical approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• Experience in verification and validation activities within embedded systems.
• Hands-on software testing, fault analysis, and defect investigation.
• Proficient in Python for test development and data analysis.
• ISTQB Foundation Level or higher.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete vehicle integration testing and verify electrical systems end-to-end.
• Execute SIL/HIL tests for new developments and existing functionalities.
• Participate in testing lifecycle phases: planning, coordination, execution, reporting.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis of defects and system issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of test methods, tools, and environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure safety requirements are met.
