Job summary

Scienta Omicron is a leading provider of instruments for surface science and nanotechnology, with production in Uppsala, Sweden. The role focuses on part of the final testing of our instruments before they are shipped worldwide, including hemispherical analyzers and photon sources.

You will join a technically demanding, international team delivering world-leading scientific instruments. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in physics or related field, has hands-on UHV experience, and communicates

Qualifications

PhD in physics or a closely related field.
Experience with Photo Electron Spectroscopy equipment and UHV technology.
Knowledge of instrument testing and production processes.
Hands-on experience building UHV systems.
Proactive and creative problem-solving skills.
Fluent in business English (written and spoken).
Ambition to learn Swedish if not a native speaker.

Responsibilities

Responsible for part of the final testing of instruments before delivery to customers.
Work within the Production Team in Uppsala to ensure high-quality instruments are produced and tested.
