Job summary

Westermo is seeking a Test Engineer – Flying Probe to join our Test Engineering Department. You will develop and implement flying probe test solutions and collaborate with R&D and Production to ensure products meet specifications and are ready for production.

You will work with LabVIEW and Acculogics Flying Scorpion systems, document test plans, and drive continuous improvements across testing methods and tooling in a fast-paced factory environment.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in electronics (or similar).
• Knowledge in testing electronic devices.
• Experience in flying probe test technologies (Acculogics Flying Scorpion).
• Experience in Xmatic CAD Translation Software.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Experience with circuit boards (meritorious).
• Experience in testing environments for network technologies (meritorious).
• Knowledge in Boundary Scan (meritorious).
• Experience in using TestStand/LabVIEW or other programming languages (meritorious).

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in projects developing new test solutions.
• Assist with test-related issues in production and maintain hardware/software updates.
• Troubleshoot, and develop test programs and methods for products and platforms.
• Document test plans and instructions; work with Quality, Project Office and Production.
• Develop tools, functions, and processes to advance testing capabilities; continuous improvement.

Test Engineer – Flying Probe

About the role

Within our Test Engineering Department, a close team of Test Engineers work together to develop and implement new test solutions within Operations. The team interacts closely with both R&D and Production, to make sure our products (routers and switches) are true to specification and ready for production. The role involves leading and participating in projects, assisting with test related issues in production, maintaining hardware and software updates on products, troubleshooting, and developing test programs and methods for our products and platforms. The Test Engineer works closely with Quality, Project Office, and the Production Team. Development of new tests in development projects and analysis and troubleshooting in maintenance projects are key tasks. LabView is primarily used for programming. Part of the job is also to document test plans and instructions. Continuous improvements are important, and the engineer will help develop tools, functions, and processes to advance the company’s journey.

Requirements
