Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of CAD experience (CATIA/CREO) for technical illustration.

• Knowledge of legal requirements for maintenance and technical information.
• Experience with translation management processes.
• Ability to manage feedback loops from field operations and DCNs.

Job description

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join ALTEN and work with advanced technical documentation in a highly engineering-driven environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining technical maintenance and modification documentation for complex systems and engineering products. You will work closely with engineering, design, and field teams to ensure high-quality, legally compliant and user-focused technical content.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documentation for maintenance and modification activities
• Produce clear and accurate system diagrams and technical illustrations
• Work with CAD tools to support visual documentation
• Handle feedback from field operations and integrate Design Change Notices (DCNs)
• Ensure documentation compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Manage translation workflows (exports, imports, quotations)
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams across functions

We are looking for you who have:

• Minimum 4 of experience with CAD software (CATIA / CREO) for technical illustration
• Strong background in technical writing (maintenance instructions, specifications, system documentation)
• Experience working in authoring environments for documentation and issue tracking
• Knowledge of legal requirements for maintenance and technical information
• Experience with translation management processes
• Ability to manage feedback loops from field operations and DCNs

It would be a great plus if you have:

• Experience with Smart Diagrams or similar visualization tools
• Knowledge of PI Planning and Value Teams within engineering organizations
• Experience working with customer or dealer communication for requirements gathering
• Fluency in Swedish language
