Viaplay Group in Stockholm is seeking a Technical Procurement Specialist to lead strategic sourcing and negotiations for software, technology services and partnerships within the Product, Data & Technology organisation.

You will drive the full procurement lifecycle, collaborate with Legal and Finance, and support large-scale tech projects to secure value-driven agreements across the business.

Qualifications

• Extensive procurement experience in technology, software, IT services, or related field.
• End-to-end procurement process management from sourcing to contract management.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations and contract discussions with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners.
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle from requirement gathering to contract execution and renewal.
• Drive software, licensing and IT services procurement across the Product, Data & Technology organisation.
• Build and maintain relationships with Legal and Finance, providing clear commercial insights to senior stakeholders.
• Evaluate opportunities and develop business cases to support sourcing decisions with cost optimisation.
• Support large-scale technology projects and procurement initiatives ensuring timely delivery.

The Role

As a Technical Procurement Specialist, you will lead procurement activities across software, technology services and strategic partnerships within Viaplay's Product, Data & Technology organisation.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will lead commercial negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that agreements deliver value while supporting business needs. You will join a small and collaborative procurement team and help secure the right solutions and services for Viaplay.

Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations and contract discussions with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from requirement gathering and supplier evaluation to contract execution and renewal
• Drive software, licensing and IT services procurement activities across the Product, Data & Technology organisation
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Legal and Finance, and provide clear commercial insights and recommendations to senior and C-level stakeholders
• Evaluate commercial opportunities and develop business cases to support sourcing decisions, including cost optimisation and improved commercial terms
• Support large-scale technology projects and procurement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation

• Extensive experience in procurement, ideally gained within technology, software, IT services, or a related field
• Proven experience managing procurement processes from sourcing and supplier evaluation through to negotiation and contract management
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and understand business needs across different levels of the organisation
• Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you can operate both strategically and hands‑on
• A self-driven and proactive approach, with the ability to independently lead initiatives and drive them to completion

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Experience procuring cloud infrastructure, content delivery networks or similar large-scale technology services
• Experience from the media and entertainment industry
