Job summary

Kappahl Group in Mölndal is seeking a Technical Designer for the Kids collection to drive fit and product development.

You will lead pattern creation, grading, and sizing, using Lectra and CLO, collaborating with designers and buyers to ensure fit and quality across all lines.

Fluent English, 3+ years in technical design, and PLM experience are valued; the role starts in December and is full-time.

Qualifications

  • Higher education in technical design.
  • 3+ years of experience as Technical Designer in fashion.
  • Experience with Kids wear and outerwear is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in technical design, grading, textiles and production processes.
  • Advanced skills in 2D CAD (Lectra) and 3D tools (CLO).
  • Experience with PLM system; fluent in English.

  • Create, adjust and grade patterns, develop size specifications and ensure consistency of fit.
  • Lead fittings, create patterns and gradings.

As a Technical Designer at Kappahl Kids area, you play an important role in shaping modern, long‑lasting products across our collections. Working in close collaboration with designers and buyers, you drive product development from a fit perspective according to trends and strategies. By creating, adjusting and grading patterns, developing size specifications and ensuring consistency of fit.

You use both 2D and 3D tools such as Lectra and CLO to secure efficient workflow and precise results. You lead fittings, create patterns and gradings. Suggest smart construction solutions that will contribute to responsible choices.

We believe you have the following profile:
  • Higher education within technical design or equivalent experience, with 3+ years as a Technical Designer within fashion
  • Experience with Kids wear and functional outerwear/garment is considered a plus
  • Strong expertise in technical design, grading, textile materials and production processes, with advanced skills in 2D CAD (e.g. Lectra) and 3D tools (e.g. CLO)
  • Proven ability to lead and drive the fit and technical design process forward, in close collaboration with Designers and Buyers
  • Experience working in a PLM system is a plus; fluent in English
