Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a senior System Architect to define and govern architecture, processes, methodologies and infrastructure for V&V of industrial control systems across their lifecycle.

The role covers testability, observability, cybersecurity, reliability, and quality, driving CI/CD, automated verification, Digital Twin environments, and risk-based test design while mentoring cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Control Systems, Real-Time Systems, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in control systems, industrial automation, power systems, or similar mission-critical platforms.
• Experience defining V&V architectures for control systems and tailoring software/hardware lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the V&V architecture, strategy, standards, and governance framework.
• Establish validation approaches for controllers, protection systems, automation apps, HMI/SCADA, networks and integrations.
• Define verification gates, criteria, traceability, and release readiness requirements.
