Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated environments and tools for the GI MACH project. You will contribute to moving manual deliveries to automated CI/CD pipelines, using Python and Azure DevOps.

The role emphasizes collaboration across architecture, development and testing teams, with a focus on testability, reliability and rapid software releases. Hybrid work and strong English communication are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one test automation framework.
• Experience with embedded systems testing or HIL is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of SOLID and version control (Git) with CI/CD tooling.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test framework and tools, primarily in Azure DevOps.
• Execute automated tests and report defects efficiently.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and testers to improve testability.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to support frequent releases.
• Identify opportunities for automation and improve processes.
