Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Test Automation Engineer in Sweden to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools. You will collaborate with architecture, development, and test teams to create robust automation solutions for embedded hardware/software projects, and help transform manual tests into automated CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering, proficiency in Python, and experience with test automation frameworks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test framework and tools, primarily using Azure DevOps environment.
Support testers with automation in new test setups, development of new testcases and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with architect, development and test teams to understand test requirements, create suitable test automation solutions and improve testability.
Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects accurately and efficiently.
Identify opportunities for automation, develop new automation solutions, and continuously improve existing test automation processes.
Participate in code reviews to ensure testability, maintainability, and quality of automated tests.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and frequent software releases.
Stay up-to-date with industry’s best practices and emerging technologies in test automation.
Document test automation processes, frameworks, and results clearly and concisely.
