Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing, supplier development and risk management. You will work with the Procurement Manager, Buyers and cross-functional teams to drive negotiations and continuous improvements across indirect procurement and facility-related services.

You will develop procurement processes and strengthen our supplier relationships, including service agreements and SLAs, while contributing to overall cost optimization and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in strategic procurement in manufacturing/high-tech environments.
• Fluent Swedish and English in written and spoken communication.

Job Summary

This is a senior procurement role where you will work closely with the Procurement Manager, Buyers and cross-functional stakeholders to develop supplier relationships, lead strategic sourcing activities, negotiate commercial agreements and drive continuous improvements across the procurement function. The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiations and risk management with supporting the business in complex procurement activities. You will also play an important role in developing procurement processes and strengthening our indirect procurement, including service agreements and facility-related contracts.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support the business objectives.
• Build and develop long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Lead commercial negotiations and establish long-term supply agreements.
• Negotiate indirect procurement contracts, including service agreements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for facility-related services such as cleaning, security, workwear, waste management and other outsourced services.
• Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform spend, market and cost analyses, including TCO modelling and benchmarking.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Prepare business cases and commercial recommendations for management.
• Represent Procurement in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We believe you are an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial judgement and excellent relationship-building skills.

You Have

• Approximately 8–10 years of experience in strategic procurement within manufacturing, high-tech or a similar industry.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management and supplier relationship management.
• Experience negotiating service agreements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for indirect procurement and facility-related services.
• Experience driving supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical capability, including TCO modelling, cost analysis and market benchmarking.
• A university degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
