Job summary

Caire, a Stockholm-based AI-powered home-care software company, seeks a hands-on Head of AI to own the agent harness and delivery pipeline from PRD to production. This is a building role with leadership exposure but deep engineering work at its core.

You will collaborate directly with the founder and CEO to drive automated testing, secure deployments, and performance improvements across stage, pilot and production.

Qualifications

• Solid production software engineering experience, deploying and operating what you build.
• Daily experience with AI coding agents, demonstrated in code you can share.
• Experience building or extending an agent harness: orchestration, context engineering, tooling, evals, quality gates or CI/CD for agent‑generated code.
• Experience measuring and improving delivery speed, cost and quality.
• Precise specifications and acceptance criteria that agents and engineers can execute.
• Experience with TypeScript/Node.js and end-to-end production ownership is particularly relevant. Your current title does not need to be Head of AI.

Responsibilities

• Launch readiness: automated testing, load testing, security and vulnerability management, code health, CI/CD, deployments, redundancy and restore.
• Hands‑on development in the platform and harness, including production deployments.
• Agent orchestration, roles, context engineering, model routing, tooling, evals and quality gates.
• Sandboxing, permissions and model/token budgets.
• Delivery metrics: lead time, cost per PR, review outcomes and change failure rate.
• Architecture and technical direction with the founder, and identifying where automation needs to be complemented by a specialist hire.
