Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company in Sweden, is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to shape and deliver high-impact AI initiatives. You will provide technical leadership across engineering teams and drive production-ready AI solutions that improve customer experiences.

In this role you will own major AI projects from design to deployment, strengthen the shared AI platform, and establish evaluation frameworks, quality standards, and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience at Staff Engineer level.
• Experience designing and deploying production-grade LLM apps or AI features.
• Strong technical leadership, able to influence architectural decisions.
• Experience building AI evaluation frameworks with automated testing and monitoring.
• Understanding AI agent architecture, tool design, and orchestration.
• Experience with secure tool boundaries, human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Judgment on build-vs-buy, model selection, and provider integrations.
• Backend/platform engineering with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Design scalable shared AI infrastructure with clear interfaces and caching.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of major AI initiatives.
• Contribute to production AI systems and evolve architecture.
• Improve AI quality, reliability, and performance with measurable enhancements.
• Own AI projects from architecture through deployment and optimization.
• Define AI architecture and shared platform infrastructure.
• Establish scalable AI quality frameworks, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Design AI agents and tool integrations balancing deterministic logic and LLMs.
• Advance engineering practices to improve development velocity.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Operations, and Engineering.
• Mentor teams and promote architectural standards.
