Job summary

Kappahl Group in Sweden is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead end-to-end solution design across business and technology landscapes, connecting needs with scalable technical solutions.

You will collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to align architecture with IT strategy, product roadmaps, and regulatory requirements, while guiding technology decisions in areas like supply chain and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience leading end-to-end solution design in complex business and technology environments.
• Strong expertise in solution architecture across systems and integrations, including APIs and event-driven patterns.
• Good understanding of end-to-end business processes, preferably including supply chain.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture across projects and development initiatives, mainly within supply chain area.
• Design and document end-to-end solutions, including integrations and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain solution architecture roadmaps together with relevant product areas.
• Ensure solutions support regulatory and sustainability requirements, such as traceability and supplier due diligence.
• Reduce technical debt and keep solutions sustainable and manageable over time.
• Evaluate technologies and vendors, and recommend solutions based on business value, security, cost and long-term fit.
• Contribute to shared architecture principles, patterns and standards.

About the role:

As a Solution Architect, you lead end-to-end solution design in projects and development initiatives, connecting business needs with technical solutions from idea through design and implementation. You make sure that what we build follows Kappahl Group's architecture guidelines, IT strategy and long-term target architecture.

As part of our Enterprise Architecture team, you work across product areas, and collaborate closely with the business, Business Tech colleagues and our partners.

What you will do:

• Lead solution architecture across projects and development initiatives, mainly within supply chain area.

• Design and document end-to-end solutions, including integrations and non-functional requirements, and drive architecture decisions.

• Develop and maintain solution architecture and roadmaps together with relevant product areas.

• Ensure solutions support regulatory and sustainability requirements, such as traceability and supplier due diligence.

• Reduce technical debt and keep solutions sustainable and manageable over time.

• Evaluate technologies and vendors, and recommend solutions based on business value, security, cost and long-term fit.

• Contribute to shared architecture principles, patterns and standards.

We believe you have:

• Good understanding of end-to-end business processes, ideally including supply chain, from purchasing and planning to warehouse, transport and returns.

• Ability to translate business needs into practical, sustainable technical solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish.

It is a merit if you have experience of:

• Retail, fashion or other consumer-goods environments.

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure.

• PLM, merchandise planning or allocation solutions.

• AI applied to planning, logistics or operations.
