Job description

Looking for a workplace for the future?

At Telenor, you own your career. Here, you'll have the opportunity to make the most of your dreams and expertise while contributing to technological innovations that are barely even imagined today. Innovations that we know will change the way we communicate and live our connected lives in the future.

We are now looking for a Solution Architect to join our Strategy & Architecture team in Karlskrona.

How you'll make a difference with us

As a Solution Architect, you'll play a key role in shaping the technology solutions that support Telenor's future business and customer experiences. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll help transform complex challenges into secure, scalable, and sustainable solutions.

You'll be part of the Strategy & Architecture team and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, development teams, and external partners. From early discovery and design through implementation, you'll help guide initiatives that modernize our digital landscape and create long-term value for both customers and the business.

In this role, you will:

• Translate business needs into robust technology solutions
• Shape solution architecture across complex business and technology domains
• Drive modernization of our IT and digital landscape
• Guide teams from concept and design through implementation
• Balance customer value, business priorities, security, cost, and long-term sustainability
• Ensure alignment with architecture principles and strategic direction

Your work will contribute to creating simpler, smarter, and more reliable digital experiences, helping our customers stay connected in a safe way.

Are you the one we’re looking for?

We need someone who's always on their toes! You have a genuine desire to learn and develop so we can continue to meet our customers' ever-changing needs, today and tomorrow.

You're an architect who enjoys connecting strategy, business, and technology. You understand that the best solutions are not always the most complex ones, and you're comfortable influencing decisions across teams and stakeholder groups.

We believe you bring:

• Experience designing end-to-end solutions in complex IT environments
• The ability to communicate architecture and technical decisions in a clear and engaging way
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• A pragmatic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail
• A university degree or equivalent practical experience
• Professional proficiency in English

It's a bonus if you also have experience with:

• Telecommunications and digital services
• BSS/OSS environments
• Cloud platforms and cloud-native technologies
• APIs, integrations, and microservices
• AI technologies and emerging digital capabilities
• Security architecture and secure-by-design principles

Most importantly, you're curious, adaptable, and motivated by solving problems, learning new things and helping shape the future of technology at Telenor.

Our promise to you!

We are better together. Here, you'll be part of a family-like and inclusive culture, built on strong shared values and leadership that empowers you with both trust and confidence. We believe in enabling each other to act and make decisions, while always having each other's backs through ups and downs.

We support relationships and societies. Telenor plays a vital role in society, giving your work a greater purpose. Every day, we create value for millions of people and maintain a customer-first approach where human relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

We make room for life. Work from home up to two days a week, if your role allows it. The rest of the time, we create magic together at the office. You also get two "give-me-a-break" days per year for extra time off, and our flexible working hours help you balance your time. We support you through every stage of life with our benefit package, including collective agreements, occupational pensions, wellness allowances, and customized insurance solutions tailored to your needs.

We invite you to a career in motion. Your development is at the center of our culture. We dedicate at least 40 hours per year to deepening your expertise, exploring new areas, and developing your role. Through Telenor Academy and other learning initiatives, you'll have the tools and freedom to advance your career. If you want to broaden your horizons, we are present throughout the Nordics.
