Job summary

RED GLOBAL TRANSPORTES seeks a Senior VMware VCF Engineer for a 6-month contract in Sweden. The role is hands-on, focusing on VMware Cloud Foundation, networking, automation and Kubernetes technologies. Onsite presence is required 2-3 days per week.

Key responsibilities include managing VCF, vSphere/NSX, automation via vRA/vRO, and supporting Tanzu/Kubernetes environments. Fast onboarding and strong troubleshooting are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Experience with vSphere and NSX across enterprise infra.
• Good understanding of traditional networking concepts.
• Experience with vRA / vRO / VMware Aria Automation.
• Hands-on exposure to VKS, Tanzu or Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise VMware environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Swedish citizenship is mandatory.
• Ability to start within a short notice period.

Responsibilities

• Manage, support and troubleshoot VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Work extensively with vSphere and NSX across enterprise infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain automation workflows using VMware Aria Automation (vRA) and Aria Orchestrator (vRO).
• Support Kubernetes/container platforms including VKS / VMware Tanzu.
• Perform VMware lifecycle activities including patching, upgrades and advanced troubleshooting.
• Support incident, change and operational processes within a large enterprise environment.
• Work closely with infrastructure, networking and platform teams to continuously improve the private cloud platform.
