Job summary

Stena Line in Gothenburg, Sweden, seeks an experienced Senior Tactical Buyer to lead complex sourcing initiatives and drive category strategies, delivering value through supplier management and stakeholder collaboration.

You will negotiate contracts, optimize relationships, and identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership while supporting governance and compliance across the procurement function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, SCM, or related field.
• Solid experience in leading sourcing projects and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor or support colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.

• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing projects, from requirement definition with stakeholders, to supplier selection and contract negotiation and implementation.

• Lead key supplier negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and self‑motivated Senior Tactical Buyer within our procurement team who wants to make a real difference at Stena Line.

In this role, you will lead complex sourcing initiatives, drive the execution of key projects and category strategies, and help create value across the business through strong supplier management, commercial insight and stakeholder collaboration. You will act as a key link between operational procurement, category management, suppliers and internal stakeholders. With your procurement expertise, you will lead negotiations, optimize supplier relationships and contracts, and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency, quality, compliance and total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and drive buying and sourcing strategies aligned with internal stakeholder needs, category strategies and overall procurement objectives.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing projects, from requirement definition with stakeholders, to supplier selection and contract negotiation and implementation.
