Across the group, we are building a Common Vessel Digital Architecture and a shared data foundation to enable AI, analytics, operational insight, and next-generation vessel design. To make this ambition a long-term capability, we are looking for a Lead Maritime Data Architect who can turn complex operational reality into structured, trusted, and future‑ready vessel data.
This role is central to defining how data will be handled across today’s fleet and tomorrow’s vessels.

As Lead Maritime Data Architect, you will take ownership of how vessel, fleet, and OT data is structured, governed, and used across the Stena group. Your work will support shipping and offshore operations within Stena Line, Stena Bulk, Stena Drilling, Northern Marine, and Stena RoRo, each with distinct operational profiles, vessel types, and technical landscapes.
You will operate in an environment where data maturity is still developing, making your ability to introduce clear standards, structure, and long‑term thinking critical. A core part of the role is to establish group‑wide data specifications and requirements for future vessels, ensuring that data is designed correctly from the outset and can support operational insight, analytics, and AI throughout the vessel lifecycle.

Through this role, Stena will establish a clear and consistent data foundation for both existing and future vessels.
You report directly to Stena Teknik’s Head of Digital Transformation and are based at Stena Teknik’s office in Gothenburg, Sweden.
To succeed in this role, you bring the ability to translate real operational behavior into clear, consistent, and reliable data structures. You are motivated by roles where you can shape direction, influence standards, and create lasting impact across complex technical and operational environments.
Through experience from data‑ or digitally driven transformation initiatives, you understand that progress is achieved not only through strong technical solutions, but also through communication, collaboration, and the ability to build trust. You are comfortable taking a leading role in defining how data should be structured, governed, and used, while engaging stakeholders across engineering, operations, IT, and management.
