Job summary

SEB is seeking a skilled Solution Architect to guide our Institutional Global Custody architecture. You will shape strategic and operational architecture across diverse technologies, collaborating with business, operations and technology teams to ensure compliant, scalable, and innovative custody solutions.

Prior bank/financial services experience is preferred, with a strong AI and API capability. Fluent English, 5+ years as an architect, and a strong developer background are essential.

• Five+ years of experience as an Architect, delivering robust and flexible architectures spanning multiple technologies and platforms.
• Experience at a bank, financial institution, or similar setting.
• Ability to work on both strategic and operational architecture.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as a solution architect in the ART Institutional Global Custody.
• Be part of the architect team in the Custody area.
• Be part of the SEB architect community and align roadmaps with other SEB architects.

What will you be doing?

Lead the way

As a Solution Architect, you'll be instrumental in guiding our teams towards adopting and implementing our defined architecture in their daily development activities. Your expertise will serve as the compass that ensures we're always moving in the right direction.

Build bridges

You'll act as a trusted advisor, fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders across Business, Business Operations, and Technology. Your insights and recommendations will be crucial in aligning our architecture with the evolving needs of our Custody services.

Drive innovation

Your responsibility will be to:

• Work as a solution architect in the ART Institutional Global Custody
• Be part of the architect team in the Custody area
• Be part of the SEB architect community and interactwithotherarchitectsinrelevant parts of SEBto be able toalign andmaterialize yourarchitectureroadmaps.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

• At least five years of experiencefromworking as an Architect and are passionate about creating business value by establishing robust and flexible architecture that involves different technologies and platforms,
• Experience from working at a bank, a financial institution or similar,
• Enjoy working with both strategic- and operational architecture,
• Have a bachelor’s or master´s degree in a relevant field,
• Are pragmatic in your solution ideas when you need to be and can visualize and clearly articulate consequences of various technologies and platforms (both verbally and in written form),
• Possess excellent networking and communication skills both within business and IT,
• Have a strong interest in keeping updated on the trends in industry and technology
• Understanding of Responsible AI and practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot,
• Familiarity with generative AI, agentic AI and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and the ability to identify relevant business use cases.
• Experience of working with APIs, GCP, Data, application development and procured IT systems.
• Are fluent in English,
• Have a strong developer background.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Have an AI portfolio to show, showcasing your experience in designing or integrating AI-enabled capabilities into secure and scalable enterprise solutions.
• Have an interest in and experience from working with Custody
• Experience from working with securities, equities and/or derivatives
