Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer focusing on backend and distributed systems.

• Experience with modern DevOps: CI/CD, IaC, and observability tooling.

About The Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Flower, you will be at the forefront of the energy transformation. You will work on systems that manage energy flexibility, integrating cutting-edge software solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability. You will collaborate with a high-performing, cross-functional team and guide them on their path towards finding a solution. You will help ensure system reliability, security, and performance through best coding practices and architecture decisions.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions for our energy platform.
• Work with technologies such as Go, AWS, IoT Core and Databricks.
• Build and optimize high-performance backend services and data processing pipelines as well as a fleet of IoT devices.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers from across the organisation.
• Lead code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and mentoring other engineers.
• Be an active part of the culture, with focus on continuous improvement and technical and operational excellence.

Who You Are:

• You have 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, working with backend development and distributed systems.
• Proficient in Go, with experience in designing scalable services and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, and IEC104.
• Familiarity with AI development tools and practices as they evolve.
• Experience with modern DevOps principles such as CI/CD, IaC, and observability tooling like OpenTelemetry.
• Passionate about working on impactful projects that contribute to a sustainable future.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Södermalm, just a short walk from Slussen subway station. We encourage in-office collaboration but support a hybrid work model.
