Job summary

Flower, a Sweden-based leader in battery storage, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our energy platform team. You will design and build scalable backend services, working with Go, AWS, IoT Core and data pipelines to improve energy flexibility and reliability.

You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists and engineers, lead code reviews, and drive best practices in security, performance and observability while operating in a hybrid office in Södermalm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, focusing on backend and distributed systems.
• Proficient in Go with designing scalable services and APIs.
• Hands-on with MQTT, Modbus, and IEC104.
• Familiar with AI development tools and practices as they evolve.
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC, and observability tooling like OpenTelemetry.
• Passionate about impactful projects contributing to a sustainable future.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions for the energy platform.
• Work with Go, AWS, IoT Core and Databricks to improve energy flexibility and data processing pipelines.
• Build and optimize backend services and data pipelines, and manage a fleet of IoT devices.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers across the organization.
• Lead code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and mentoring other engineers.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
