Job summary

Flower Technologies AB is seeking a motivated Financial Controller to join our Finance team in Stockholm. You’ll own accounting and financial reporting for several group entities while collaborating with experienced colleagues across Finance, gaining exposure to group reporting, IFRS and finance projects as your responsibilities grow.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Fluency in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for day-to-day accounting and month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing for several legal entities within the group.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and liaise with the Swedish Tax Agency and external stakeholders.
• Support group reporting and exposure to consolidated financial statements.
• Work with accounting under IFRS and local GAAP across multiple entities.
• Assist in acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
• Improve finance processes and internal controls; support ERP system improvements.
• Support external audits and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Participate in finance projects to improve ways of working.

About The Role:

At Flower, you'll join an ambitious energy tech company helping build the energy system of tomorrow. As part of our Finance team, you'll take ownership of the accounting and financial reporting for several legal entities within the group while working closely with experienced colleagues across Finance. You'll also gain exposure to areas such as group reporting, IFRS and finance projects as you continue to grow your responsibilities.

As a Financial Controller, reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll help ensure high-quality financial reporting while supporting scalable finance processes across multiple legal entities and collaborating closely with colleagues across Finance.

What You’ll Do:

• Be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing for several legal entities within the group.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and collaborate with the Swedish Tax Agency and other external stakeholders.
• Support group reporting and gain exposure to consolidated financial statements.
• Work with accounting under IFRS and K3/local GAAP across multiple legal entities.
• Support accounting related to acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
• Help improve finance processes, internal controls and our ERP system.
• Support the external audit process and collaborate with external stakeholders.
• Participate in finance projects that help shape and improve how we work.

Who You Are:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Around 2-4 years of relevant experience, ideally from a Big Four firm or another accounting environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• An interest in developing your knowledge of group reporting and IFRS.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and fluency in Swedish and English.

Location

Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Södermalm just a short walk from Slussen subway station. We encourage in-office collaboration but support a hybrid work model.
