Job summary

Lead SAP Software Engineer at H&M Group will guide the master data team's engineering direction, building and modernizing SAP master data solutions that underpin our SAP landscape. You will provide technical leadership and mentor engineers in Stockholm and Bengaluru.

Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to deliver secure, resilient data solutions using ABAP, BTP, CPI, and related technologies, while promoting best practices and high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, with a Technical Lead or Staff Engineer background.
• Strong SAP ABAP Development experience including OO ABAP and design patterns.
• Proven SAP BTP Architecture expertise for composable, event-driven solutions.
• Experience with ABAP CDS, HANA modelling, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on ABAP tooling and debugging skills including ST05 and SAT.
• Ability to mentor teams and drive SAP best practices across projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering direction for the master data team and SAP landscape.
• Define scalable architectures and mentor engineers in Stockholm and Bengaluru.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to deliver secure, high-performing data solutions.
• Drive adoption of SAP best practices and modern development methods.
