Job summary

ALTEN Sweden is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join a long-term assignment focused on Databricks, cloud platforms, and modern data engineering. You will help build data platforms and pipelines enabling analytics, data science, and ML initiatives.

You will design, implement, and govern scalable data solutions, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders in a data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Senior platform/ data engineering experience with Databricks and Spark.
• Hands-on Python and SQL development for ETL and data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably AWS.
• Ability to design data governance, metadata, and catalog solutions.
• Knowledge of IaC and implementing robust, secure data platforms.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines with Databricks.
• Improve platform architecture, setup, and capabilities for large-scale analytics.
• Build robust ETL/data pipelines for operational data at scale.
• Implement data governance models, metadata management, and cataloging.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across platforms.
• Apply IaC practices to Databricks and cloud environments; automate environments.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML engineers, and business partners.
• Translate requirements into production-ready data solutions and maintain them.
