Job summary

ALTEN Sweden is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with strong Databricks, cloud, and data engineering expertise to join a long-term assignment. You will help build and operate scalable data platforms and pipelines, enabling analytics, data science, and ML initiatives.

In this role you will collaborate with Data Scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into production-ready data solutions while upholding governance, security, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Data Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar senior role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably AWS.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL and data pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools).
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and data discoverability.
• Experience building scalable, robust data platform solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
