Job summary

SEB in Stockholm and Vilnius is seeking a .NET Developer for Payments & Reporting to help build SEB’s next‑generation payment platform on a modern microservices stack. You will develop backend services in .NET/C#, work with SQL Server, Kafka, and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) in a hybrid setup with three on‑site days and remote collaboration across Nordic‑Baltic teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing and maintaining backend services using .NET/C#, with a solid understanding of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• Extensive SQL Server experience and comfortable working with large, complex databases.
• Hands-on experience with asynchronous messaging using Kafka/IBM MQ and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Experience contributing to or owning CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation; curiosity for AI and emerging tech; English fluency, Swedish is a plus.

About The Role

As a .NET Developer in Payments & Reporting, you will be part of a cross‑functional team working to build SEB’s new payment platform — one of our highest‑priority initiatives.

You’ll work with a modern microservices landscape and a young codebase, using technologies such as .NET 10, Kafka, IBM MQ, Redis, and MS SQL. Our container and orchestration environment includes Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Together with colleagues in Stockholm and Vilnius, you’ll contribute to shaping scalable, secure, and resilient payment solutions for the future.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

• Strong experience developing and maintaining backend services using .NET/C#, with a solid understanding of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• Extensive SQL Server experience and are comfortable working with large, complex databases.
• Hands‑on experience developing, improving, and troubleshooting complex stored procedures and dynamic SQL.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging and event‑driven architectures using Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar technologies. Experience running services in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Experience contributing to or owning CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Genuine curiosity for AI and emerging technologies, with a willingness to experiment and learn continuously
• Strong communication skills, with fluency in English; Swedish is a plus
