Job summary

Empiric in Gothenburg is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer specialising in Keycloak and IAM to design, build and operate secure identity capabilities within a modern Java microservices environment.

You will implement authentication flows, extend Keycloak with SPIs/providers, and work across Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD to keep production services resilient and secure.

Qualifications

• Experience customizing Keycloak via SPIs/providers.
• Strong IAM and SSO knowledge.
• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT and SAML.
• Production experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• CI/CD.
• Strong DB experience, PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate IAM capabilities with Keycloak and Java.
• Build and maintain production-grade Java microservices.
• Extend Keycloak using SPIs, providers, federation and auth flows.
• Implement authentication and authorization with OAuth2, OIDC, JWT and SAML.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD environments.
• Support production deployments, observability, troubleshooting and incident response.
• Collaborate with security, platform and product teams.
• Apply security best practices around tokens, sessions, authentication and authorization.
