Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering in Sweden seeks a Contracts Manager to lead risk management of contract terms on multi-disciplinary projects. You will review bid conditions, manage commercial risk, and support negotiations to protect the company’s interests while ensuring safe, on-time and on-budget delivery.

The role involves coordinating with project teams, shaping governance, and developing high-quality subcontracts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quantity surveying experience on M&E projects.
• 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying.
• Experience in construction in a similar capacity.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Knowledge of contract conditions and their applications.
• Strong communication and administration skills.
• Willingness to travel between business units.

Responsibilities

• Review contractual obligations and commercial risks prior to tender submission.
• Lead contract negotiations within governance guidelines and escalate risks.
• Assist in preparing Project Risk Registers.
• Assist in handover of contracts post award.
• Coordinate approval and issue of bonds, guarantees and insurances.
• Provide support on commercial/legal matters to senior management.
• Advise Kirby personnel on contract risks, liabilities and conditions precedent.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with contract policies.
• Support risk escalation and mitigation for projects.
• Develop sub-tier contracts and framework agreements.
• Support development of company commercial procedures and governance.
